Officer Panel (COVID-19)

Purpose of committee

As part of the operational recommendations as set out in the report entitled ‘Contingency Planning: Coronavirus (COVID-19)’ as approved by the Chief Executive on Tuesday, 24 March 2020 under Part 3, Section 6, Paragraph 1.4.5 of the Council’s Constitution (Urgency Provisions).


The ad-hoc Officer Panel (COVID-19) has been established by the Chief Executive for the purpose(s) of exercising decision-making responsibly in respect of all Council functions in so far as the law allows for the interim period in light of the Ministerial Statement issued by the Prime Minister on Monday, 23 March 2020 in relation to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.


As such, all ad-hoc meetings of the Officer Panel (COVID-19) are closed meetings for Officers in attendance only and are not open to the press and/or public to attend and observe in person.
