Police Update Minutes: Due to a Police representative being unavailable an update from them was deferred until the next meeting of the Forum. |
|
IMPACT Team Update Minutes: Due to an IMPACT Team representative being unavailable this agenda item was deferred until the next meeting of the Forum.
MS informed the Forum that the IMPACT Team will be withdrawing from the Borough as the level of ASB has dropped below other areas of the County. These areas now have a greater need for the services offered by the IMPACT Team.
The Forum noted that it was a positive that the level of ASB in the Borough had dropped below the IMPACT Team’s threshold, and accepted that the Council and/or the Police can request their services again should the level of ASB rise in the future. |

Supersonic Boom 2018 Minutes: Supersonic Boom 2018 will be taking place on Wednesday, 15 August, 1pm-5pm, on Blaby Road Park, South Wigston. The planning process for the event has started, and the Youth Council are currently seeking performers and stall holders to be included in the event.
Ideally 14 acts will be required in order to ensure that the stage is fully occupied throughout the course of the day. Stalls are free of charge for non-profit/charity groups, with a £10.00 pitch fee for other stalls.
The first invites to previous performers and stallholders were sent out ahead of the GDPR legislation deadline, with a good response received so far.
The event poster will be ready for publication and circulation by Friday, 25 May, with the Council’s website and the main Supersonic Boom website (www.supersonicboom.co.uk) by Monday, 28 May. |

Youth Council Update Minutes: Due to the start of the exam period attendance has dropped off as per the last meeting. This was to be expected and both the Chair and Mark encourage Youth Council members to put their exams and revision first.
Prior to this several new members joined the Youth Council off the back of the ongoing recruitment drive, with the majority of new members coming from Beauchamp College.
Cllr R Morris, Mark, and the Mayor will be attending a meeting of the Wigston Academy School Council, in return for the School Council visiting the Council Offices, on either the 21 or 22 June. |
