Proposed Public Space Protection Order (Nitrous Oxide) 2021 PDF 228 KB Report of the Anti-Social Behaviour Officer Additional documents:
Minutes: The Committee gave consideration to the report as set out on pages 14 – 25 of the agenda which asked it to note the outcome of the public consultation and the evidence supporting the implementation of a proposed Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) to control the possession of nitrous oxide.
The Committee requested that a leaflet be sent to all schools in the Borough explaining the dangers of using nitrous oxide, and also that a letter be written to the Local Government Association (LGA) asking them to lobby government to introduce a minimum age to purchase nitrous oxide.
It was moved by Councillor J Kaufman, seconded by Councillor Mrs H E Loydall
UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED THAT
(i) The content of the report and appendices be noted; and (ii) The draft Public Space Protection Order be recommended to Full Council for approval. |
